Creating a Control Tablet on a Local Network

This article will step you through how to set up a device to control the Nightlife Media Player via a local network, using Manage My Nightlife.

A local connection is established when the Media Player and tablet are on the same network.

1. Download the App and Log In

• Download Manage My Nightlife onto the device you want to control the Media Player from.

• Log in with your provided app credentials

If your control tablet is already on the same network as your Media Player, the set up is complete, no need to to continue onto Step 2. Simply Check In to the Music Zone and enjoy full control.

2. Connect the Media Player & Tablet to the same Network

To connect the Media Player and Tablet to the same Network, follow the applicable steps from the options below:

A) If the Media Player is already on a Network (either via ethernet or Wi-Fi), connect your tablet to the same network to complete set up.

B) If the Media Player is not yet on a Network, plug in the ethernet cable or proceed to Wi-Fi Setup Steps. Then, connect your tablet to the same network.

C) If the Media Player is not able to be connected to a network, you can temporarily gain a local connection via the Media Player’s Hosted Network: Wi-Fi Direct. Follow the Wi-Fi Direct Steps below.

Wi-Fi Setup Steps

Follow the steps below to connect the Media Player to a Wi-Fi network using Manage My Nightlife.

Connect Media Player to a Wi-Fi Network

1. Start by following the Wi-Fi Direct Steps, then proceed with the steps below
2. From the Manage My Nightlife menu, tap Settings
3. Expand Music System Controls
4. Tap Setup Wi-Fi
5. Click on the network you wish to connect to and enter your Wi-Fi password

Your Media Player should now successfully be connected to the Wi-Fi network. This network will be remembered, so these steps will only need to be repeated if connecting to a new Wi-Fi network.

Wi-Fi Direct Steps

Wi-Fi Direct is the Media Player’s Hosted Network that allows for a temporary local connection. While connected, you can use the Manage My Nightlife app to control the Media Player when there is no online network available.

1. Check that the Media Player’s Wi-Fi antennas are properly connected to ensure a strong signal.
2. Ensure Mobile Data in your device settings is turned off.
3. From your device’s Wi-Fi settings, connect to the Media Player’s hosted network by selecting the SSID (NMSXXXX) and entering the password: 123456789.

Once connected, launch the Manage My Nightlife app and Check In to the Music Zone. You will now have full control of the Media Player.
