How To Queue The New Year’s Eve Countdown
Leading up to New Year’s Eve, Nightlife has a placeholder track ready for you to schedule for 11.50PM on 31st December. The week before New Year’s Eve it will automatically update to be a 10 minute mix of party songs and visual content from the year that was to countdown to midnight.
Here is how to schedule your New Year’s Eve Countdown via the Manage My Nightlife web or mobile app:
- Open Manage My Nightlife on a phone, tablet or PC.
- In the search bar, type “2026” or “NYE Countdown“
- Open the Song Details. If using a phone or Nightlife Tablet: Tap the blue down arrow to the right of the track title. If using a PC: Click on the track title to open a pop up window.
- Click or tap the clock icon to open the scheduling window in the song details.
- Set the track to play at 11.50pm on 31st December in the scheduling window.
- Select the option to interrupt the playing song at the time and date specified. This will fade out the current song and ensure the mix starts on time.
- Click or tap Schedule.
How To Queue The DJ NYE Set
Full of this year’s biggest and best party tunes, start playing the four-hour DJ NYE set at 9PM for the ultimate party mix to welcome in the new year.
If a mix or song has been scheduled to play before midnight, like the New Year’s Eve Countdown Mash-up, the DJ NYE set can still be queued to play from 9PM – it will be temporarily interrupted to play any scheduled content and then resume once the content has finished.
- Open Manage My Nightlife on a phone, Nightlife Tablet or PC
- Select the All Lists tab
- Expand the Nightlife Lists heading
- In the DJ Sets category, click or tap the square checkbox next to a DJ Set to select it for queuing
- Click or tap Custom Order
- Set the Session Duration that the DJ Set should play for
How to Display a NYE Countdown Slide
Complete with a large animation on an ambient screen, this timer counts down the days, minutes, and hours until New Year’s Eve.
- Open Manage My Nightlife app on a PC
- Ensure the User Digital Signage tab is selected
- Select Library from the options at the top of the page
- Find and click the New Years Countdown.zip from the options available
- Click Next
- Use the options to customise when and for how long the slide will be displayed:
- Set the Duration for how long the image will be displayed each time it appears on screen (10s is a common choice).
- To limit how regularly the slide appears, tick the Delay box and nominate how many minutes must pass before the slide appears in rotation again.
- Click the Between Dates option and set end dates to be the 31st December
- Click Create. The image will now appear in rotation, alongside other advertising.

Try selecting the Genre tab in the Search Songs bar. Then, scroll down to the Occasions genre. Expand this section to find the tracks for special occasions, including the New Year’s Eve Countdown Mash-up.
If your Nightlife Media Player is not connected to a visual setup, the audio of the New Year’s Eve Countdown to Mash-up can still be heard, however, there will be no associated video visible.
Look for a clock icon in the Current Playlist tab. Tapping on this icon will display the scheduled songs and their relevant details.

The New Year’s Eve Countdown Mash-up can be used at any time of day on 31st December. For venues hosting family-friendly events, the mix can be scheduled to play at a time that suits customers.
If you are getting overloaded with crowdDJ selections then turning on Manual Cue will prevent new selections from playing automatically. Alternatively, simply move or remove songs in the playlist as they come in – like a real live DJ
To cancel a queued DJ set, or any queued music list, go to the timer on the Current Playlist page and press the END button.
