Getting Started with crowdDJ Karaoke

Whether you’re planning to hold hosted Karaoke events or are looking for a hands-off option, crowdDJ’s integrated Karaoke system for businesses takes the hassle out of Karaoke events.

To start, you will first need to have Karaoke included in your Nightlife subscription. If you’re not sure whether you have Karaoke activated, you can contact us over Live Chat or by phone.

Equipment & Set Up

Once activated, we’ll send you a Nightlife Media Player and give you access to our library of almost 20,000 Karaoke songs and our apps — Manage My Nightlife for staff control and crowdDJ for guest requests. If needed, we can also supply a control tablet and/or a crowdDJ Kiosk.

Along with the equipment provided by Nightlife, you will also need your own screen(s), microphone(s) and a mixer.

Discovery Lists

To make it easy for guests to browse the library and find songs, we have a library of Discovery Lists that you can choose to load to your system for guests to browse.

To choose Discovery Lists to make available for your karaoke event:

  1. Open the Manage My Nightlife app on web or your device, and make sure you are in karaoke mode. (See Karaoke Modes below)
  2. On the right hand menu, select Queue Songs
  3. Click on All Lists from the top menu, and expand the Karaoke Lists drop-down.

Here you will see the Discovery Lists that are loaded on your system. Default browsing lists will already be active. The green square to the right indicates whether guests can view the list or if it is hidden. You can toggle these on and off to suit your venue and event. If you would like to adjust the lists available, please contact our support team.
