This article outlines how to connect your Media Player to Wi-Fi using the Manage My Nightlife app by first directly connecting to the Media Player.
When a Media Player is not connected to the internet, it automatically generates a hosted network (hotspot) that allows you to directly connect to the Media Player.
This can be established easily via a phone or tablet using Manage My Nightlife.
Before Establishing a Direct Connection
- Use your provided credentials to sign in to the Manage My Nightlife app.
How to Directly Connect To The Media Player’s Hosted Network
- Check that the Media Player’s Wi-Fi antennas are properly connected to ensure a strong signal.
- From your device’s Wi-Fi settings, connect your device to the Media Player’s hosted network (hotspot) by selecting the SSID and using the password: 123456789
- The SSID is the same as the Media Player’s serial number (NMSXXXX). This is located on the top of the device.
- Once connected, re-open the Manage My Nightlife app and check into the music zone.
- If the music zone does not appear immediately:
- Tap the refresh button, or
- Sign out from the side menu and sign in again
Once connected to the music zone, full functionality of the Media Player will be restored, including queuing lists, finding songs and powering on/off.
How To Connect the Media Player to Wi-Fi
1. In Manage My Nightlife, from the Menu, tap Settings
2. Expand Music System Controls
3. Tap Setup Wi-Fi
4. Click on the network you wish to connect to and type in your Wi-Fi password.
Your Media Player should now successfully be connected to Wi-Fi. You can now log back into Manage My Nightlife with your personal credentials. You will only be required to follow these steps again if your Wi-Fi changes.
