January is known for summer events across Australia – from Sunday sessions to Hottest 100 celebrations and Aussie parties. 

To support venues with their entertainment throughout the summertime season, Nightlife’s unique library offers a range of high-quality music, video and visual content.

How To Queue Summer Music Lists

Nightlife has a range of lists for any and every kind of Aussie atmosphere, with collections like MIX JJJ, AUSSIE DANCE, AUSSIE CHILL and more.

Using iOS or Android:

1. Open Manage My Nightlife
2. In the Menu, select the Queue Lists page
3. Select the All Lists tab
4. Expand the Nightlife Lists heading
5. Tap the square next to one or more lists to select them for queuing
   NOTE: Selecting more than one list will play a mix of songs from each
6. Tap the green Queue Lists button
7. Tap the appropriate queue method (i.e. Shuffle or Timed Shuffle)
   If selecting Timed Shuffle: Nominate the start time and length of time you wish to override the Scheduler for, then click or tap the green Queue List button.

After the lists are queued, the app will navigate to the Current Playlist page and display the updated playlist.

Using the Web App in your Browser:

1. Open Manage My Nightlife in your browser
2. From the Menu bar, select the Queue/Schedule Lists page
3. Select the All Lists tab
4. Expand the Nightlife Lists heading
5. Click the circle next to one or more lists to select them for queuing
   NOTE: Selecting more than one list will play a mix of songs from each
6. Click the green Queue/Schedule Lists button
7. Nominate the length of time you wish to override the Scheduler for and when you’d like it to play, then click the Queue/Schedule Lists button.
   NOTE: To queue without nominating a time, untick Session Duration. The lists will play until the next scheduled entry.

After the lists are queued, the app will navigate to the Current Playlist page and display the updated playlist.

How To Play triple j’s Hottest 100 List

In the lead up to triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown, Nightlife’s JJJ HOTTEST 100 list is populated with the top contenders and predicted winners. This is set up as a DJ set for you to play in your venue at any time through January, in random or custom order.

Once the official Hottest 100 is available, we update the list ready for you to enjoy for the rest of the summer. This is usually completed in the last week of January.

Queuing a DJ Set on a mobile device:

DJ Sets are queued by you or your staff with the Manage My Nightlife app (available on iOS or Android). Just follow these steps:

1. Open Manage My Nightlife on your phone or use the web app
2. Open the Menu and select Queue Lists
3. Select All Lists, then choose Nightlife Lists
4. Under the DJ Sets heading, tap the square next to a DJ set you want to play – JJJ HOTTEST 100
5. Tap the shuffle arrows to turn off shuffle mode and switch to queue mode
6. Tap Queue List
7. Optional: Set a playlist length (Your music will automatically revert to the scheduler after this time has elapsed)
8. Optional: Scroll through the list to change which track the DJ Set will begin with. This lets you play different sets of music within the same list
9. Once you are happy with your starting track hit Queue List

Queuing a DJ Set on the Manage My Nightlife web app:

1. Open Manage My Nightlife 
2. In the Menu, select the Queue Lists page 
3. Select the All Lists tab 
4. Expand the Nightlife Lists heading 
5. In the DJ Sets category, click or tap the circle next to a DJ Set to select it for queuing 
6. Click or tap the green Queue Lists button 
7. Click or tap Custom Order to turn it on and play the intended sequence of songs
8. Nominate the start time and length of time the DJ Set should play for, before returning to the Scheduler’s current playlist 
9. Hit the green Queue button NOTE: The DJ Set will start in custom order from track 1. A new starting track can be selected from the list before queuing, if required 

How To Queue Summer Visuals For Venue Screens

1. Open Manage My Nightlife
2. In the Menu, select the Queue Lists page
3. Select the All Lists tab
4. Expand the Ambient Visuals heading
5. Click or tap the circle next to SURF TV, SUMMER TV or AUSSIE TV to select it for queuing
6. Click or tap the green Queue List button
7. Click or tap the green Shuffle option

When queued, summer visuals will play on screens until interrupted by the Scheduler – which automatically queues content according to the venue’s set program of daily visuals.

Promote Upcoming Events With Digital Signage

Nightlife’s Digital Signage Library has a range of seasonal slides to promote upcoming events. They can be set to display using the Manage My Nightlife Web App. 

Where custom messaging is required, users can create their own digital slides, upload them to their Nightlife Digital Signage Library and use the web app to set them to display on venue screens. 

How to upload and display custom digital signage

1. Open the Manage My Nightlife Web App
2. In the Menu, select the Digital Signage page 
3. Select the User Digital Signage tab 
4. Click the Upload button 
5. Click the green Browse button and select the custom file to upload 
6. Select the screen to display the slide on and nominate how long it should display on screens for as well as the time period it should be integrated into the digital display 
7. Click the Upload button 

How to display slides from Nightlife’s Digital Signage Library 

1. Open the Manage My Nightlife Web App
2. In the Menu, select the Digital Signage page 
3. Select the User Digital Signage tab 
4. Click on the Library button 
5. Click on any slide in the library to see a preview of it 
6. When a slide is selected, click the Next button 
7. Select the screen to display the slide on and nominate how long it should display on screens for as well as the time period it should be integrated into the digital display 
8. Click the Create button 

Let Guests Pick The Music With crowdDJ

Increase customer interaction at events by allowing them to add their favourite Aussie summertime tracks into the mix with crowdDJ’s Scan to Play QR code system. 

Venues with crowdDJ currently activated at their location will find a Digital Signage slide with a unique QR code has been created and saved in their Digital Signage Library. 

Display this slide on venue screens so customers can scan the code and access a web version of the crowdDJ app to make their song selections.  

How to display the Scan to Play QR code on venue screens 

1. Open the Manage My Nightlife Web App
2. In the Menu, select the Digital Signage page 
3. Select the User Digital Signage tab 
4. Click on the Library button 
5. Click on the crowdDJ Scan To Play slide in the library to see a preview of it 
6. Once a slide is selected, click the Next button 
7. Select the screen to display the slide on and nominate how long it should display on screens for as well as the time period it should be integrated into the digital display 
8. Click the Create button
